šA Team Building Lesson from The Big Man & The E-Street Bandš
On this day (Sept 11) we rejoice & celebrate the life of ClarenceĀ ClemonsĀ the āBig Manā & saxophone player for Bruce Springsteen & the E-Street Band.
It was said of theĀ #BigmanĀ that: āBy 69, heād had a good run, because heād already lived about 10 lives, 690 years in the life of an average manāĀ #Springsteen.

šIāve learned over my years as a project manager and start-up consultant, that the only way to build, maintain & scale a successful company, is to build a great team.Ā As Michael Jordan said: āTalent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.āĀ The E-Street Band has plenty of both.
šThrough the years the band has grown and shrunk, members have taken on very successful independent projects, and the band even took long hiatuses over the years.Ā And they have also lost a few members along the way.
šBut the E-Street band would always come back together, tighter and closer then ever.

šIt is aĀ #teamĀ building story for the ages. āA story whereĀ #ScooterĀ and the #BigMan and the rest of the E-Streaters not only busted the city in half, but kicked ass and remade the city, shaping it into the kind of place where their #friendship would not be such an anomalyā.Ā #SpringsteenĀ
šSpringsteen had often said that: āhe leaned on Clarence a lot; I made a career out of it in some ways.Ā With Clarence at my side, my band and I were able to tell a story far deeper than those simply contained in our musicā¦and I was lucky enough to stand in that light for almost 40 years, near Clarenceās heart, in the Temple of Soulā¦His life, his memory, and his love will live on in that story and in our bandā. #Springsteen
šTime and fortitude have shown that the E-Street Band is one of the longest running & most effective #teams out there.
šAs Clemons & The Boss said in an interview: āWe were united, we were strong, we were righteous, we were unmovable, we were funny, we were corny as hell and as serious as death itself.ā #Springsteen & #ClemonsĀ Ā
šAndrew Carnegie at one point said, āteam work is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon resultsā.Ā And teamwork is one thing that Clarence Clemons and the E-Street band understood, and their was an abundance of it, and they used it to achieve extraordinary results.Ā
šThe E-Street Band is a great example of the sum of the whole equaling more than its individual parts.Ā There is a reason that the band isĀ known as the ābooty-shaking, earth-quaking, viagra-taking, love-making, history-making, #legendary E-Street-Band.Ā
šAnd Clarence āThe Big Manā Clemons was its heart and soul.
āThe Strength of the team is each individual member.Ā The strength of each member is the teamā.Ā -Phil Jackson
šWe could all learn from Clemons and his bond of friendship with his fellow band mates.Ā His life, his memory, and his love will live on in that story and in the band.
šSo ladies and gentlemen: Always last, but never least. Letās hear it for the master of disaster, the Big Kahuna, the man with a PHD in sexual healing, the Duke of Paducah, the King of the Worldā¦You wish you could be like him but you canāt! Ladies and Gentlemen, theĀ #BiggestĀ man youāve ever seen!Ā š
Can I hear a C-L-A-R-E-N-C-E!
Whatās that spell?
šC-L-A-R-E-N-C-E! ā¦ amenš
